Announcements post #519: Recurring Events.
From: Argus, the Tiniest Feracht
Subject: Recurring Events.
Gooood morning, Starmourn! Another quick code update, this time to the UPCOMING system for scheduling and managing events in-game.
Changelog:
- Updated the syntax for viewing events to UPCOMING <#> SHOW to match our standards
- Updated the syntax for setting a START time for an event
- Created an END time option to set a window of time for events
- Created a RECURRING function to have an event recur every X Days or X Weeks
You can view the new syntax and changes with UPCOMING!
Please remember that while UPCOMING is a massively useful tool to allow the administration and your organizations to inform you when something fun is going to happen, it is still an OOC tool. Please refrain from using it to foretell the future within the IC game.
As with any big(ish) updates like this, there are bound to be bugs I missed in testing. Please report as you see 'em, and I'll work on getting them fixed asap.
Shout out, as always, to Elan for explaining things like "how does time work in code?" and "does this make sense?" until 3 am their time. <3
