The Engineering of Artuhr's B.E.A.S.T.

edited March 2018 in Roleplay
(This is focused of a town built into a tunnel of one of the larger asteroids of Scatterhome. Or more specifically, in the engineering bay of said town. Artuhr can more likely than not be found here, working on his B.E.A.S.T. The other one is being disregarded, because, well. Take a look at it. Feel free to butt in- /as either an NPC or your own character/- and don't be ridiculous about the scenario)

Artuhr is a young human, what age? Young. It might be hard to say with all of that grease and muck over him. He  is down here as per usual. Working on his B.E.A.S.T. It's about halfway done, and he's been working on it, endlessly. Tirelessly. Only taking breaks when he absolutely needs to... often taking his nap time next to the project. Only getting up when he absolutely needs to eat. For now, he's there, though, welding an arm onto the engineering wonder. Grease all over his face.

Disclaimer: This RP and character may or may not reflect the character I actually use in Starmourn. Any actions/agreements/conversations, etc. that take place in this thread or RP forum are not reflective of what the character has actually done once Starmourn opens. A loud clang of metal can be heard, followed by several loud, angry yells, laced with curses. Two engineers, clearly in some sort of a disagreement on how a part should be installed in a B.E.A.S.T., look nearly ready to come to blows. Walking past the two engineers, with only a brief glance at the feuding engineers, a male human seems to be inspecting some of the other B.E.A.S.T.s in various states of repair. The man appears to be middle aged, and of slightly above average height. He seems to show no concern that his expensive looking grey suit and pants will get dirtied by the grease and grime that otherwise permeates the engineering bay. As he walks past an air vent, his grey tie flutters momentarily before settling back against his chest. A keen observer might notice that while his body's frame couldn't be described as muscular, it is athletically toned.

The man stops for a moment, taking in the bay around him before his eyes, one green, one blue, stop and rest upon a young human who seems to have two arms deep in the guts of a B.E.A.S.T. He nods once to himself, before walking towards the human. He waits until the arc welder the engineer is using is briefly turned off before he calls out in a calm and confident voice, "Are you Artuhr?"

A few parts clatter off after they wiggle a bit, and Artuhr utters a curse underneath his breath. The man swipes at his brow before pushing the goggles up. Revealing his own blue gaze towards the other man. There's a grunt as he studies him, before Artuhr says. "Yep." An oily hand slides up his face, leaving an imprint. The young guy takes off the goggles, tossing them down, before grasping at a rag and wiping at his face. It doesn't help any- that rag looking like it's been used for days, if not weeks, if not months.
  • A sudden, slight noise betrays the presence of a small, spidery looking bot on the tool bench next to the imposing B.E.A.S.T. Attempts at secrecy now futile, the bot swiftly snatches up the tool that it was looking for, flying up into the air and zooming off down the hallway and around the corner.
