Enhanced asteroid probes?
Would it be possible to make it so that when players probe an asteroid it keeps track of what the asteroid contains and how much? This way players can focus on gathering resources they are low on and if they come back to that asteroid at a later time they will not have to probe it again if they did not write down what it contained the first time.
