Re: Announcements post #62: Explore New Dikamazi!
At least there weren't shapeshifters tossing us into their dungeon and wearing our faces after this time!
I love the first instance of a PvE boss and hope to see more in the future!

The place is awesome! It's like Japan in space!
Thanks to all the people involved in making the area!

Oooooh man I love this place. The whole Bushraki arc has been great (and sometimes stressful) but seeing this new area is amazing! Also, those drinks Slander should not be consuming. And the new gear! Thank you all, once again, for doing awesome stuff.

There are a few issues you have all reported and they will be fixed tomorrow (xp, loot, etc).
Big shoutout to awesome Eukelade and her titanic effort to build this on such a short timeframe, and Soren for being so great in also managing big parts of the event! Best team ever!

Announcements post #62: Explore New Dikamazi!

From: Starmaker Eukelade
Subject: Explore New Dikamazi!
IC: In the Iota system, in neutral space, a fledgling colony of Bushraki settlers has been discovered on a newly inhabited asteroid. Named New Dikamazi, after their lost homeworld, the colony appears to have no immediately malicious motivations - though there are several elements of the area that might be considered hostile to outsiders. Historians and xenologists muse that it is the first fully Bushraki settlement to spring up in some time, the cyborg race previously having been even more homeless than humans. Time will tell how New Dikamazi effects the galactic landscape, but for now, its impact appears to be confined to its boundaries.
OOC: For the next few weeks, we invite Starmourners to enjoy what New Dikamazi has to offer, from new quests and monsters to the items available to be found, purchased, and consumed. We welcome everyone to test out our first dynamically scaled area which is accessible to players of all levels, and enjoy the unique, Bushraki-themed loot. But don't hesitate to explore, because when our monthlong event is over, these unique event features will be going away again (even though New Dikamazi is here to stay)! Have fun!

HELP us HELP you!
Our HELP system is under constant development. We've been going through and updating / creating new help files, but this is an on-going process and we can really use your input here. What HELP files do you still feel are missing and which of the ones we currently have do you think need updating? (We do have the HELPMOD command in game, but I feel drawing a bit of attention to the system anyway can't hurt)
A few notes: if you run across a HELP file that exists but is empty or has TBD as its content, it means we're working on it and writing it. Also, we are looking into adding a HELPMOD NEW where you can write/suggest your own helpfile.

An idea to add hauling to the economy
We've just recently been told that a big overhaul to the economy is coming. and while I have my concerns over the MIL requires of prospecting I still think it all sounds great. Something I found disappointing though is no mention of adding a means to make hauling orders like you can other market orders.
It's an idea whose time I really think is coming especially since it sounds like the devs really want to spread the economy around the sector. I am in favour of that but it does mean that there is a hassle for miners and especially manufacturers in moving the various goods around the sector as needed for manufacturing. Travel distance and time in this game can be lengthy and is not enjoyed by everyone. There are people currently in the game who really wants to do this job but with no order system for it there is no insurance to make sure no one runs off with marks or resources and it requires a lot of direct coordination between people who want to haul goods around and the people who need stuff moved from place to place.
I think you could fit this into the current market order system too just using a from too and the number of goods moved with the escrow system would take care of all the insurance and coordination problems allowing people do what they really enjoy in the game as opposed to the chore of flying around from station to station hundreds or thousands of distances apart from eachother.
