Are you sure about that? I created two test characters, one yesterday, the other just now - and on one hand yes, the FT announcement does appear when the player finishes their tutorial (but it doesn't appear in HISTORY FT so it's only for players who are also online when it happens), but on the other hand the log entry only refers to the time when the character was created and that's it. New player messages
Currently faction logs show whenever a new character is created - "This and that has arrived at Dawning". Can we change or add to that so the logs instead show when the player finishes their newbie tutorial? Consider this:
I log in and see an unfamiliar name over on FWHO. I check HISTORY FT - no one greeted them, no surprise, CA is a very small faction and often has 0 players around, especially during off hours. I check faction logs: the player created their character some time ago alright, could be 2 hours ago, could be 8, or yesterday.
Now the thing is, is the player still taking their time with the tutorial and I should leave them be? Or are they currently trying to grasp the game and may need some guidance or, at the very least, an in-character greeting to keep them engaged? We can't tell right now. It'd be different if someone was around when the player finished the tutorial (assuming they finished it) but once again, that can often not be the case, what with the game being small and off hours being a thing.
Moreover, I'd like to ask for the tutorial to instruct the players to check FWHO and that they can talk to other faction people using FT - just something to say at the very end, after the wetwiring bit, where the player isn't being bombarded by any other information. It's very useful information that isn't currently told anywhere. In similar vein new players should be suggested to read FHELP files - maybe not the whole FHELP INDEX as that feels overwhelming, just direct them to FHELP WELCOME. That way even when players log in when there's no one around to guide them, they will be able to get at least some assistance.

Some other things I thought of:
- Economy got an overhaul with some recipe adjustments and new Manufacturing Specializations.
- I think economy works fine now but this is possibly a minority opinion.
- Pirate Refineries and Autofactories you can blow up when you have big ships for big reward in materials/manufactured goods
- Cerebral Augmentation Chamber (aka faction engagement missions) to add some nice bonuses to everyone in faction
- Level-scaling areas including New Dikamazi and Wildernesses across the sector, the latter which will yield raw materials when triangulated. Great pve content IMO with some tough mobs.
- Some of the COSMPIERCER powers are amazing qol stuff. TARGETWARP for instance is amazing for running incursions and basically doing anything in space.
- Multiclassing added
I really enjoy hacking with the new changes.

Add a little message in caches for when there are no more crystals to be harvested, kinda like when you complete an incursion. 'All crystals have been harvested' or something like that. Would save us the trouble of doublechecking everywhere to make sure we haven't forgotten one.

He's saying they need to be nerfed if they all had their own balances because it'd result in BEAST hitting for about 3k every 4s or so.

This, the whole reason i cant get into the game is cause i only want to play a B.E.A.S.T but they are very underwhelming from a flavor standpoint imo. Why would i aim to kick, stab, or grab someone when i'm a literal mobile weapons platform??? I hope they listen and make the B.E.A.S.T play like a heavy mech shock troop instead of a rock um sock um robot. In my mind the only time i would be aiming to slap someone around in a mechanized suit is to counter them being in my space or as an insult (though i do like the idea of crushing something with a prop, thats some nice flavor haha). The day they make B.E.A.S.Ts actually play like a heavy weapons troop is they day ill be on the game for good. Though I thought it would have been fixed by now its w/e i'll just keep waiting.

Speaking directly to the new shuttle layout, I disagree with it. There is a number of reasons that you HAVE to pass through Omni (or Aleph voidgate) in order to get anywhere. From a game design perspective, this increases the chances of players having an encounter, which means an increased chance of fun and violence. From a lore perspective, Araxi became super rich, built a space station, and then forced the entire sector to go through her, making her powerful. I think you'll find you will only take that away from her over her cold, dead body.

Can't you just gatewarp and use the voidgate irises? They make searching for Ironbeard pretty trivial.
