It's a sign of good leadership.

If it's meant to be "free to play", you should have a loss in those situations. Even if you're not spending cash, you're spending a lot of your own invaluable time.
It's not free, just because you're not spending cash. -
Hardly, lmao. Just even the gods get uncomfortable with what people do, but even in their own realms.

(Quote) I've been asked by a god to do it in a godrealm, because the admin couldn't handle it XD

(Quote) Right. I'm sure. That character is retiring, and practically is. I was more paranoid that retiring bonuses might expire too, but the character is still there, as it ever was, until I am ready.
-
Meh. The character is retired (edit - not in the literal sense, but I won't be playing her anymore). And honestly, if it's not this IRE game, there's not going to be another one for me.
I don't want it to accidentally expire, thoug… -
I played a couple months in SSG with some of my cliquey-er friends. Moredhel ftw.

My girlfriend bought me the entire Megaman X legacy collection, and a PS4. So that's delightful.

And it was "almost" going to be released back then, too. But not like this. ^^

(Quote) Well rape RP already isn't ok in any IRE game. We do have many more individual boundaries though.
It's even harder to tell what we have in common, though. The more places it is easy to reach out, the better. That can be the… -
It seems like it's the more the merrier. There's way too many strong personalities here for any "this is how we do it". It's just a checklist of "This is how I do it."
We can hash out these personality differences in character. I'm… -
Doesn't sound like it has to be longform.
That's just the one starting it.
-
I'm really confused why any of this is an argument. It's pretty clear we don't need to tell each other how to play, just make an avenue where those who might need it can.
That's all it is. Nobody's wrong in this entire threa… -
(Quote) You're the one who opened up with "the two versions of roleplay". Are there more, that don't fit yours?

Bleh, I'm just actually trying to be serious.

(Quote) Acknowledged, but I still want a damned disagree button! I'm checking out of the sexbot bar in this clan.

(Quote) I want a disagree button. They are most definitely needed, just not for everyone. Some of us just want to be very, very wordy with how we want to pretend to feel. And that shiz is magical too.

(Quote) The simplicity is actually sublime.

(Quote) To be fair, I really don't think that's what is going on at all. The semantic exchange here should make it quite clear that no one person's view of RP (even as simple as how you try to define it!) is universal.
It really, r… -
(Quote) I remember that name, though I also hadn't played it for years.

Option A.
Though I'm of a similar opinion regarding paragraph-style RP, I am not entirely convinced it can be codified into a single list. All of it is entirely subjective, and all transgressions of the rules can still be completel… -
Even though I really look forward to Starmourn, there's a good chance I wouldn't actually get too invested in it without the retirement aspect. I've never been particularly wealthy, and absolutely nothing about credit buying is cheap. Every purchase…

General socializing. I am interested to pick at the brains of those interested in the things I am (even if only by proxy, through "characters")
-
I am actually rather intensely curious what brings you to Starmourn. If you've never tried one before, what leads you to a commitment to try this one (which isn't even released yet)?
-
(Quote) Maybe, unless it's a draw for a subset of people who would otherwise not come. (Especially if the work involved is easier in the beginning, vs. wanting to do it "later") Not many would be affected, to be sure, but the playerbases here…

(Quote) Delightful! I'm not (personally) worried about necros. If you have something to add, it's valuable, whenever the conversation started.
And you've given me a few things to think about. -
In IRE especially, I tend to burn through at least 10-20 very short-lived characters before one just... lasts somehow. From then on, I have just the one.
-
Why do non-human races put so much significance on A.E.? Have they put that much effort into Human Relations?
A+ for creativity, but I don't know crap about this when we're actually in-game.

(Quote) Thank you. The only thing I'd amend is that "their/they" is usually preferable to "it".
