I mean... it's pretty normal and understandable.
The guild=class model forces a diverse group of people who aren't all wanting to play the same way into one shared space and inhibits the groups that could otherwise form.

I did end up moving to Lusternia and have had a lot of fun times there with friends that I've made, but yeah, not a super great experience.
