(Quote) This is always an interesting part of discussions about RP to me, because if it's ok to describe yourself using OOC words and concepts, why not do the same with speech and emotes? In both cases, they're initiated by a human of Earth, …

Extremely unlikely. The Fatar are not a race that lend themselves to being played by players, as their core feature - disguising who they are - is not one we'd give to players.

The great thing about being the developer is that we and only we get to decide what exists in our world. We have more than two genders. Cultures have had more than two genders for thousands of years, both in Starmourn and in the real world.
(Quote) Now, Flip-Flip Galaxy....game on.(Quote) Starmourn is a highly cheerful place in between the slavery, horrific violence, genocide, hard drugs, the myriad ways space wants to kill you, invasions, the Ishvana.....
Ok, maybe not "highly cheeful". I'm sure cheer exist…(Quote) Keep in mind that we're a very small staff making a fairly expansive game. The dialogue trees don't really go that deep/broad.in NPC Dialogue Options Comment by Aurelius October 2018
Ishvana Starbutcher for me!Well, in the sense of it not being something fundamentally impossible, like giving you an artie that would (correctly) tell you what the square root of -1 is, yes, there's a chance!
Very little chance we'd ever let a player create a custom race.Sure, it does count!(Quote) One size fits all. We don't have the resources to do that kind of variation for launch. Maybe later.
It's pretty much optional, though we reserve the right to send the goonsquad to your door if you don't participate. The f…(Quote) To be honest, we don't actually coordinate like that between our games. Pretty much the only thing that happens that's coordinated are the monthly promos.(Quote) Yeah, we are focused on getting it out. It's not going to be anywhere near as feature-full at launch as we'd like, and it's not going to be as polished as we'd like either, but that's just the reality. Small company, big game, etc.(Quote) That's correct, though we still know what celestial bodies are within X range of something in space, so it'd certainly be possible to show a ship blowing up to everybody on the planet (there'd be no conception of being on the wrong si…(Quote) True that I studied political science, and quite probably true that I said that, though I don't know what a "perfect" political system would mean, nor do I believe such a thing exists, insofar as perfect means very different things to…(Quote) You can't as you have no military with which to lead to do that.(Quote) Fixed!(Quote) The Ry'nari have very functional talons on their feet, so unless extra protection is required, they would rather not wear them. With most clothing having SmartCore(tm) tech, it's easy for clothing to adapt itself to fit a wide variety…(Quote) There's a range there.Yeah, along the brown/grey line with occasional undertones of red, like a reddish clay color. The Ry'nari all look like the pics shown in terms of body shape, fwiw.Behind the scenes. It's a Mark drain.
As for how to operate profitably: Bring in more Marks than you spend.Honestly, hadn't considered it. I'm thinking Venturer.(Quote) Those are two very different things, but it's easy for us to leave a mark on crafted items indicating who made it.(Quote) That could happen, but that can also just as easily happen in our standard voting-based systems in our other games. Were people to operate that way, basically screwing the entire civilization over by kicking almost everyone out, they'…
