Nothing important will be able to be stolen, ultimately, unless the victim is very careless. It's just not fun for most players.

There will be almost no manual curing in Starmourn.

(Quote) There's zero chance of someone stealing your BEAST suit out of your inventory unless they've hacked your character.

It's something you carry in your inventory, and which you can wear any time you wish. A Technician will be fairly useless without her BEAST on though, and we'll make sure you can put it on very quickly.

They're an advanced species who makes allowances for the existence of technology that's beneficial to them. The Jin in Starmourn couldn't afford to refuse cloning given their relatively small numbers.

(Quote) Nothing other than that your Age field will show that you're old, and you'll look quite decrepit unless you've gone in for rejuv treatments to make your appearance more youthful.

People are going to be able to eject and float around hoping to be rescued (or kidnapped) before their life support runs out and they die.

If your ship explodes and you're on it when it does, kiss your INR goodbye!

(Quote) Yep, though unrelated to star kith.

Not against any of our rules. Whether player civilizations decide to outlaw nudity is up to them.

(Quote) Really just the reds, oranges, and yellows would work for our purposes. Blues, purples, blacks are more void kith-y.

They're general types of swords, though it's the star kith user that turns them into kith blades. They definitely aren't alight on their own.
There's no plan to have different attacks work differently against different types of mobs. One … -

I'm not sure we'll see a lot of big fleet battles, but I hope so! We need quite a playerbase in order for those to be anything but exceedingly rare.

(Quote) Depends. You'll be able to put on a space suit and eject from a ship, and if another ship picks you up before the suit's power runs out, you live!
And if your suit's power runs out in that circumstance, your INR would still… -
So, turns out implementation had changed since I designed the death system, and our wires got crossed.
You'll lose a small % of your current level when you die, though you can still recover the INR and get most of that back.

(Quote) Well, more likely you just killed the person and the INR is sitting right there.

I'm intending to do a small update today, but generally we decided that it's more productive to spend more of our time focusing on making the game vs. putting together updates, particularly as many systems and such are still in flux.

Jedi? No no. Think about what star kith is really good for: cooking. Those guys can really put a nice sear on a steak.

I love the idea of 'speakerphones'!

Oh, certainly Marcus.

It is, yeah. We just haven't released info in it yet.

(Quote) What's valuable to us is people signing up for the email list, as that gives us a permanent (well, as long as they have that address) of reaching them directly.

(Quote) Agreed. We're not building a DIKU-style MMO (i.e. Everquest, World of Warcraft, etc).

For the record, we will have no significant mechanical reward for reaching top level at launch, though we certainly will later, whatever we decide top level to be.
(In Achaea, for instance, top level was 80 when it launched, and levels 8… -

Thanks! Did it personally.
