Re: Character Art
I'm not ready to show you my sketches, since I've only recently bought a character drawing course on Udemy... And I kid you not, I did it mostly to learn how to draw winged, space lions.

Re: Character Art
My sweet Synsia is a WIP. I am excited to get her outfit down and some coloring going on, but for now:
I'll post a finished version properly later

He will live on through his memory.
Also through his clones. That's where we sent the memory.

Character Art
I wanted to share one of the ideas I have for my character. Since I've seen at least a few other people with art for their characters, I figured we could share it all here!
Here's Inigo. Human Fury that really doesn't live up to the name.
In case this formats weirdly, here's the link to the picture instead.

Re: Beta Contest Commentary
I've been playing Achaea while I wait, and I'm falling more in love with all things Achaean by the day. My heart will truly be ripped out when I leave my comfy druidic forest grove to travel the cold emptiness of space. But I'm sure I'll get over it.
Re: Sneak Preview: Quests!
There's a way to phrase valuable negative feedback. 'Sorry, but what is the point showcasing a boring kill quest which is like millions we've already seen in any MUD?' in response to a sneak preview thread isn't it. It is also a good idea not to jump to conclusions on the entire sum of what the game has to offer — an unreleased game we know next to nothing about just yet — based on a sneak preview on a thread where literally the first sentence was: 'This is an example of a very simple quest that can be obtained in one of our high level hunting areas'. I'm guessing a more complex one wasn't offered because A ) spoilers and B ) it would make the post at least five times as long. The aim was to show us how the quest system works; the very simple example offered accomplished that.Pollivar said:Why be silent when you can give valuable negative feedback, like 'If starmourn's only boring GET TEN BEAR ASSES quests I'll be hugely disappointed.'

Re: Sneak Preview: Quests!
Also, it helps to remember that not everyone who is eager to play Starmourn has played an IRE game, or even a MUD at all. A basic quest can be very helpful to people who are only now learning what sort of thing to expect from the ground level. Thanks for sharing, Oryx!

Re: Sneak Preview: Quests!
Oh, I wouldn't call this a "showcase" by any means! Like I said, just an example of a very simple quest! For the good content you'll have to wait for the game to open.mindw0rk said:Sorry, but what is the point showcasing a boring kill quest

This is more to display the basic functionality. There are some differences in our system that veterans of other IRE games may be interested in at this point.

Re: Sneak Preview: Quests!
There are a couple really awesome things here. 1 - unlocking quests. Gives you a reason to revisit places, which I find always shows me something I missed before.
2- Rewards that increase when the quest hasn't been done in a while? Bonus! That's a pretty exciting and new feature.
