Such pure blood lines behind that moustache...Pollivar said:Well, just look at my profile picture, my friend.
Nothing quite says 'space royalty' like a snazzy uniform and a nice moustache.
In fact, I've uploaded the full picture to my profile page! For anyone who cares about the kind of character I plan to play.
Re: Celestine Ascendancy
Well, I for one plan on being a glorious business shen, who commands vast riches, and totally doesn't control a band of pirates. Where on Celestine did you get that idea?

Re: Random Questions
There will be elements of that, yes.Demarcus said:Ooo, here's a question:
Can I PvE in my ship? That is, can I go blow up non-player controlled ships or whatever? Or will it be a strictly PvP type combat environment akin to Achaea?

Re: Random Questions
I actually really enjoyed Midkemia's way of handling bashing, treating the mobs like they were players and being able to give them afflictions and things. It allowed people to get really used to the abilities, and made people more effective in PVP since you already knew your aliases and things like that.

Re: Random Questions
Since we started from scratch with Starmourn, unlike our other games that inherited their coded base from Achaea, we had the chance to change things up here, meaning abilities will always work on players and denizens alike. There are a couple of limits here, for things like instakills, which would trivialise PVE too much.uric17 said:i am afraid that the abilities of each class will be more for the adventurers and less for the denizens, in achaea there are so much abilities but most of them are against other players which angered me very much cause i don't fight against other players nor someone fought me so the options for me are mostly for traveling and killing players so will it be different here? i noticed the abilities to every class but will i have a small selection against denizens like i have in achaea?

Re: The State of PK (and a couple other questions)
Just to avoid any confusion - while afflictions do exist, they work very differently from how Achaea and co do them. There will be no curing systems - or at least not anything similar to the Achaean ones.Dodger said:
Will we be able to refer to triggers/curing systems in-character as "wetwiring", i.e. selling custom wetwiring packages or something over market channels?
Afflictions mostly play a supporting role to, well, something else. I'm just going to be all mysterious at this point, as to my knowledge the important combat mechanics haven't really been revealed yet.

Re: Can't wait!
When I played there, I got a lot of really beautiful RP from literally everywhere, but I know it isn't an RP-enforced game, and it does show through. Most of what I know of it now is through hearsay (since I no longer play), so I'm not a good judge on the Current State - but I have high hopes for Starmourn, even if it isn't RP-enforced (as it was announced it isn't), because there's always RP somewhere for those looking.Aurelius said:It's weird. Some people say that, whereas I see others calling Achaea an RP-enforced game (which it definitely isn't!)Devina said:because Achaea isn't always RP-heavy
(Like with me. Hit me up, y'all, when Starmourn opens. I'll RP your brains out.)
