Re: Announcements post #51: The Future of Shipforge Supplies.
players can and already are offering things on the market.Kovac said:Thank you to @Iyato! Demand for supplies needed some love!
That being said I have some major concerns before this is done.Using market orders would not be ideal, market orders are a passive system for purchasing resources. We need something more akin to a shop where players can put their good for sale. I can already imagine players getting frustrated because someone undercut their order and now they have nothing to go do space stuff with.
- How are players going to be able to purchase these supplies?
- How are players going to be able to sell these supplies?
if you do a market offer list tether you can see where people are selling tethers and for how much.

Re: Good Vibrations!
The most beautiful thing I have ever designed was approved, and will be given out to everyone possible.
"Appearance: a rockhopper and polka dot egg gelatin
Dropped: A rockhopper and egg gelatin has been dropped here, quivering occasionally.
Examined: This large circular gelatin has been filled with rockhoppers and slices of polka dot pink and blue egg slices. The thinly sliced eggs hang unnervingly inside the gelatin, arranged in an artful spiral pattern around the dead-eyed deep-fried rockhoppers. Each petite pink egg is covered with minuscule blue spots, with edges that bleed into the pink egg body creating a halo effect. A single jumbo rockhopper is perched on top of the gelatin, crunchy eye stalks waving gently whenever the gelatin jiggles.
Eat_first: You take a bite of the rockhopper and egg gelatin, the soft flavorless gelatin giving way to crunchy deep-fried rockhoppers and slightly gummy eggs. You manage to finish the gelatin off, breath now faintly sweet smelling.
Eat_third: You watch as $(caster$) bites into what appears to be a rockhopper and egg gelatin, hearing $(him$) slurp through the soft gelatin body before it gives way to crunches, then both at the same time before $(he$) finishes.
Smell: smells faintly acidic, with a gentle hint of frying oil
Taste: tastes of unflavored gelatin, which jiggles as you lick it"

Re: Food
I'll always agree with things that makes food worthwhile! I'd really like the third option, knowing how many calories are in certain items so I can design a spread of both calorie dense and light food. If I'm wishing, I'd love for that to be a variable I can set as a designer, within reason of course. Like hypersquares can be between x and y calories, meals are between c and b variables, etc etc.

Here's an in process of me designing the hunting stat tracker I'm in the middle of making!
The duplication of my statbar and the chat window is because I flip between working on this
and actually MUDding and sometimes I forget to turn off the plasma taps on the ole' BEAST.
I have another setup for ship stuff, but it's half baked right now and not ready for sharing.
Shared MUD HYPE! Woooo!
The stat bars were a heck of a thing. I had to do Maths to figure out how to create a bar that resizes
and centers with your terminal. B- would algebra again.
Also with this setup and build of the tools, I can hunt with two hands never leaving their home macro
rows, tested for a few hours tonight! Woo!
<EDIT>
Also I put up a few pictures on the repo in the first post showing some of the customized battlespam I made.

Yes! Please! I would like to be extremely hefty, but the current setup of the mechanics makes it seem not worth the trouble. Right now my build is Gaunt

TinTin++ client setup, MepMoop
Utilizing TinTin++, terminator, sox for ship audio, three simultaneous screen layouts and anything I can weld in.
I'll get around to doing nightly builds rather than master-breaking quick commits. If you'd rather live on the edge of your pants and have it crash at least once a night, I recommend installing the staging branch. It is my hope with this announcement I can
stop worrying about how well it performs and just start posting a daily bloop with what changed.
Under heavy development, mepmoop,
I'm a new player so if anything doesn't make sense, or you want function foo to hit things with a Weber bar, let me know!
Some common commands that require explanation.
fixme = Because Starmourne is so vastly customized it's hard to prepare for every eventuality. If things are acting super funny, typing this command usually fixes it.
mode beast or mode nano = change your keypad into a bashing setup for a B.E.A.S.T. or nanoseer(low level, inexperienced)

For engineers:
"Wireless Charger" or something that attaches to QPC. Passively charges your turret in the same room. Basically like the QPC mod, but in-room range only...
