I think we need some anti gas farming stuff
Like it says in the title, i think gas farming is getting a little out of hand. wild gas cloud spawns are getting rarer and rarer due to all the gas cloud farming going on around cosmpiercers.
I think we need a weekly or possibly daily on sync purging and replacing of gas clouds in the sector.

Re: Station Missions
Station missions aren't all bad, they made the commodity market actually work. Players are gathering and getting actual marks for it. That's fine.
This is where the fun ends. Agree with other peeps saying station missions are:
-Not fun
-Too much of a money drain
This shit is currently a huge hassle that consumes hours of game time daily. There was an update recently that reduced how much damage each mission causes. That was a misplay. The damage per mission isn't the problem, the number of missions is. I don't think the devs realize how much time and ingame cash it takes to manufacture trade goods for each mission. It's at least 5k marks each - doesn't matter if it's 2% or 12% damage, you still gotta do it. It's still marks and money down the drain, which is fine when there's only a few missions but with the number we get right now, that's just excessive.
So my solution is: return station damage per mission to previous levels but instead have less missions spawn over time. Also give factions some advantage to having an undamaged station, not just punish them for a broken down one.

Re: In Strength and Unity! (Song Thread)
It was so neat, and everyone was so cool ooc and ic.
@Azlyn and her one liners.
And @Matlkael (Mereas) with the surprising cheek!
The NPCs were so responsive. The options that are now on the table and the topics that are relevant to discuss have blown wide open. I can wait to see what everyone, not just in Song manages to uncover.
I would also like to say that Vega's paranoia about the YOUKNOWWHAT'S is now totally justified.

Re: In Strength and Unity! (Song Thread)
Hey, a big thanks to the Storytellers involved in this week's event. In no particular order:
Yimh - Came up with the idea in the first place and got the balls rolling to make it all happen.
Hroden - Pulled in other factions, layered on the intrigue, ran supportive animations, and built out Ostari with some extra rooms for the event.
Soren - Worked to keep his faction in the loop and was also an essential back-up animator during the event.
Tallulah - Lots of supportive building (those discontented Ry'nari were all her) and animation.
Iobai - Sadly unable to be there for the actual event (curse those time zones) but provided valuable feedback and support where he could.
Thanks everyone! And thank you players for rolling with the punches and just being all around a fun group of people to play with. :proud:

Re: Cosmpiercers: Problems and an Ambitious Proposal
Fuck the cosmpiercers. Make us fight for voidgates ownership instead. Seems more worth fighting for than a bunch of stations that we can't even dock when there's no conflict. Plus, I imagine voidgates will have more substantial rewards. And some perks too. Like if a Scatterfolk uses a voidgate owned by Scatterhome, then they should have huge (I'd say 50%?) discount in usage of that voidgate. Not to mention, a stable-ish income that goes directly to faction accounts.

Re: Station Missions
I'm spending more time doing this than I would like. There's a bunch of incursions out there and I'm out flying with a gas scoop behind me and -if I'm lucky- an asteroid on my front. I'M NOT ENJOYING THIS. There's a lot within the game I'd rather be doing, but If I don't do it, just imagine the first impression the newbies will have each time they have to trip twice or thrice before they could move another room within Reynolds Spaceport whenever the station status is sub 85%. I HATE IT. But who the hell am I. I'm not even much of a whale for you guys to listen to.

Re: Cosmpiercers: Problems and an Ambitious Proposal
Rhindara said:Bumping this thread because we could really use some sort of mechanic where owned cosmpiercers return to the Ishvana after x number of days. When there's a lapse in conflict, being able to go beat up an npc faction gives players *something* to do. I would lock the lost cosmpiercer(s) for 24h, and optionally allow the lock only to affect the previous owning org, so that other orgs who maybe aren't always equipped to deal with player defense (especially on higher-leveled cosmpiercers) have an opportunity to attack Ishvana-held ones.
I disagree. Having Ishvana take it for free without the faction having an opportunity to defend would be a negative play experience. Cosmpiercers are very time-consuming and motivating a group to claim them can be hard. If there were some such mechanic, it should involve some opportunity for the defending faction to hold the Ishvana back. Such a mechanic should also take its sweet time unless Cosmpiercer rewards are adjusted... it can take a two weeks to a month for a Cosmpiercer to pay for itself just in terms of ammo costs!
But all of this I think would be beside the point. Cosmpiercers were billed as the the full interfactional PvE & PvP group conflict experience! Such a mechanic would diminish that possibility. Ishvana I'm sure can have a million other ways to provide the Sector with an existential threat without resetting our hard-earned Cosmpiercers and deterring interfactional conflict.
Re: Station Missions
As one of the many players waiting for improvements to the economy to begin playing more/again - this update really seems to be a step in the wrong direction to me... I agree with many of the others' comments in this thread, and can't really offer any further feedback that hasn't already been said. I hope a resolution can be found soon.

Since we'all know how it's like, lets just steer clear of the drama like it's sin on Jesus day. (to in absolutely inclusive: why poison ourselves with laxatives. Diahorrea in anyform, verbal or physical isn't pretty to deal with or fun)
