This might be over thinking things, but one thing that slightly irks me a bit is that there is no RP explanation as to why the stations become damaged over time. If the damage was explained by, for example, a giant tentacled space monster periodically attacking the station, then it would introduce the possibility of halting station damage temporarily by banning together in ships and fighting off said space monster.

Ideally, that's how it would work. Refiners would bring in resources, manufacturers would regularly churn out stuff like rglass, and disheets, and UMMs, and such, and some of them would be readily purchased to fulfill station mission needs.
That hasn't quite panned out as planned, probably because there's too few resources to begin with. But we've noticed that rates seem to be going up and tweaked, so there's hope yet!

I would like a locker to store my weapons in that doesn't decay. Oh, and just containers in general that have a lot of space? The formglass display case only holds 3 things.

To be fair, @Yimh started this thread because they hadn't received much communication from players. The Celestines were great about communicating with me about what they thought was important and in many cases I've been able to act upon it. I'm not super in yo face in game right now but I can assure you that things are happening!
If CA would like one of these threads I'm happy to set one up as well.

Almost all of these things have been player-driven, and we just ask the storytellers if they could add a little spzazz.

I don't have a lot of play time as it is, so if it's not on the market offers or I can't get it from someone else, I'm pretty much out of doing the station missions -- now, if it was running about trying to find more of the items required, - or like Poet says above, partially completing missions - or a quest thing, I'd manage it. But having to manufacture stuff and fly around and refine and all that jazz? Nope!! I want to play for fun in my short time windows!
