Is there a estimate at all on how long it would take for players to get their second ship? Like should the starter one last us a few weeks/months or is it something that we'd likely be replacing once we're past the "novice" stage.
Oh, and… -
(Quote) Heh, the more the merrier but I think it's the sorta thing each civ would set up and interpret for themselves.
So like SD might have "Boot Camp", maybe CA has like "EduCorp", and SH has "How to be useful and not die school… -
From memory there's some bot tactic of making a bunch of innocuous posts that fly under the radar and then going back to edit them with back links and stuff later on.
Tends to get missed by the users if the thread's active enough. -
Probably some kinda anti-bot thing tbh and removing the original might be a limitation of Vanilla forums.
Looks like @Tecton might be around at the momen… -
I think for me, first and foremost would be a novice network type clan, a place for a group of players in my org who like helping newbies find their way. We'll all be a little lost at the beginning so at the start it might be more about IRE vets hel…

(Quote) Just as a heads up for this, we had some techs where I work try something similar by running WoW through portableapps on usb and the security service we use was able to detect all of that and immediately ping our network people.

Obviously teleporting is a nanoseer thing by throwing void kith at the space and time between two points :P

Options from the discordmissile or railgun, netlauncher or minigun, wristblade or shield

(Quote) From memory this is more that the BEASTs won't be able to use any of their class skills outside their suit.

Decheeran / Nanoseer it looks like at this point

Sure, it's mostly a placeholder for stuff that doesn't get explained away as science/technology though.
Again with the fury, a potential reason for level locks on the blades is a relatively simple one.
The design that makes a kithbl… -
Maybe? Kith really just reads as space magic to me right now, like Fury is pyromancers with swords
Also, rereading over some of the articles it seems like the mindsim is more in line with the stacks from Altered Carbon merged with a phone… -
My expectation is more that the Fury class is the one that will mess with the mindsim level concept the most because it seems the least "tech" class. (If it really uses any?)
The others are relatively easy because they incorporate tech. R… -
Went on a bit, threw out an alternative.
Levels are effectively the level of integration between your meatsack, wetwiring, and mindsim.
Experience and levels are your progression along the integration, levels being discrete poi… -
(Quote) Yeah, this really. It's almost like the info in the latest release was the wrong way around from what I expected.
I'd imagined the Ascendancy would have started you in the middle class though. Like, owning a ship seems a ma… -
I mean, sure. Though if it just goes the same way this one has, seems a tad pointless at this stage.
Regarding the popularity of Scatterhome, it's certainly not unexpected but that also means that the other orgs need to be just as attract… -
(Quote) 1) There are no actual players at the moment, just the people interested in the game. In theory the people most interested in the game with the most information about what their decision would be on release are on the forum. Sorry, bu…

Actually, if you want to make comparisons to other games, tbh Song Dominion came across as the Sci-fi version of a forest org so potentially was appealing to those players.
So take your Eleusis, Serenwilde, Elvandar and mash your Mhaldor… -
I mean, all polls are always based on a sample size. The forums are a representation of the players that are actively interested in playing the game at launch.
Scatterhome maintained it's position at number one with 50% of the participant… -
All you two are achieving right now is me looking more at the not bother playing option.
Just expanding: Yeah, the Song Dominion isn't what I expected. It's so different from what I expected that I won't be playing there at this time, but… -
(Quote) Sorry, but no, it really doesn't actually matter whether or not another org with the same name existed after the action.
Also your description of the Aetolian Ashtan sounds like an example of where the admin didn't get inv… -
It's really never too early to flag concerns, realistically concerns should instead be flagged as early as possible. Like, if no one mentioned that this had completely changed their mind about the SD why would the admin even consider tweaking things…

I feel like you're really understating the impact this release had. This release changed me and others from being "Yeah Dominion!" to "okay let's go somewhere else". The Dominion went from being the second most popular civ in the previous poll to ha…

Sure, by the same note though this period is the point where the admin are trying to convince us to sign up for the initial influx of players that will provide the numbers to set the orgs up.
The latest info release has instead changed th… -
So just to put it out there, kicking everyone but the leaders out and having them rewrite the identity of your org is a nuke. You might open up an org with the same name two weeks later, but if you couldn't achieve what you needed to without booting…

(Quote) My concerns are being driven mainly cause this kinda happened in Serenwilde last year. A long period of in-fighting, cliquey stuff going on, and then eventually one group deciding that the solution was to start booting others. In that…

I mean, if the admin wanted you to be able to play a race then it'd be an option? Either at creation or through an artifact that gives access which requires no real oversight.
So, any race that you might try customising to would either b… -

Has something like this been confirmed? There's something mentioned for Scatterhome where things work significantly differently on a thematic level but I haven't seen it for the Dominion.

I guess, aside from simplicity what is the benefit of FPTP compared to a ranked system in the context of an IRE?
The issues I've experienced are mostly around vote splitting and the encouragement of two-party systems (expressed elsewhere … -
It would be pretty awesome if you could enter a command to make a death permanent once retirement was set up for you.
Go into battle to defend your homeworld, die in it, make it permanent.
