I will say that I think freeze *swarm* scaling to mind is an improvement in PvP, though it's admittedly subtle. I've wished for more synergy between freeze *swarm* and something for a long time(for PvE that is), cause the default "spam freeze" is bo…

I don't know if this is viable, but I'd love to see something that made the stat more relevant.

I left a couple of systems out. Performance. You can make a few marks doing the practice thing, and pretty good money doing concerts, but I feel like that's ok. I've not made all that much at it to date (though I've yet to make the top of the chart…

Well at 120 marks/unit I can't get any. So we haven't hit the actual price yet. I hate math. I don't want to have to spreadsheet to play a game. Now, you could say that's what the economy is about, and some people like that, and you'd be right. But …

I too like the new superstructures, but the destroyers are hobbled by the lack of a ShipSim large enough to generate enough cycles for all the slots/power.
Idea: premium components. Much like the premium hulls, add in premium engines, shi… -

The number shown is the number of additional lessons you need to invest.

They have to be NPC orders I believe

Nope you can go pretty much anywhere.

You can set your status to Lawless if you want PK anywhere. Even if you do, you probably won't see much combat. I've had lawless on for almost 2 years and only been in a couple of fights outside of Caches or the Arena. The lack of random griefing i…

I LOVE this.

I'm back around! Hopefully the crazy in my life has passed. 2020 can go hang though.

A lot of people played that first week or two, and then went back to whatever other game they were playing. I don't think anyone expected to see numbers stay at that level. We dropped off after that to a more manageable 40ish players who stuck arou…

That last one is clearly controversial, given there is no current theft mechanic and that I and many others store valuables on our ships. That def should not be implemented before ship doors that actually lock.

Group all junk on death into "a bundle of junk" so that dying in PvE or PvP doesn't bring the game to its knees. Even with no handling of the GMCP room events in Nexus someone dying is often 5-10 seconds of the game being totally frozen.
-
Poet takes every death as another opportunity to 'Pierce the Veil' and attain enlightenment. I presume there is some memory loss around the time of death because if we all remembered dying 100+ times we'd all be completely insane.

It's always stuck me as odd. If I have armor that's like clothing, why do I have clothing? If someone has no clothing, we all presume they are naked. If the armor is visible, it should be more visible so that you can actually look at it. But then wh…

Wasn't sure where to put this, so I'm just going to drop it here:
Current cargo hold expansions are much too small for their cost. I spent almost half the cost of a superhauler on 2 expansions for my freighter and expanded the size of the… -
I put this up on Discord as well (and screwed it up the first time). If you want to turn your Talents Progress Bar into a percentage, set up the following as a regex trigger:^Progress to next talent point\: \[ (=*)(-*)…Just as a note- having experienced a couple of people, including myself, die during the Xenohunt. The timeout is not effective in stopping the client from locking up when someone drops a lot of junk. I'll need to revisit that. My current thought is …
You tell Steve, "Yo."
Steve tells you, "Hi, there."
You tell Steve, "So, why'd you kill Silhouette? Publicity?"
Steve seriously tells you, "There's no publicity if it's not well-known that I did it."
You tell Steve, "Well …
I combined Hope's log with mine and tidied everything up. I too forgot to turn on the log until after things had started, and my always on log only captures speech, not emotes. So some of the beginning is a little sketchy. If anyone has more they'd …This should be the last post on this topic, unless someone has questions.
So the only bit left is things added and removed from the room. Scoundrels can whip up cover from nowhere with Improvised Cover and various…
Last time around we got the buttons built and the highlights rewritten. So now what happens when you click the button?
So, there's only one cover item in the room I'm in, but button one is set to send this as its&…
If you all are curious what Nexus can look like when you hack the crap out of it- here's a demo video. Includes some PvE, the map tab I built for caches, cover buttons and starflight tab.
in Cover Buttons- Nexus Client Comment by Poet February 2020In the first post we talked about how to get the items from the room and sort them down to things you can actually take cover behind. This post we are going to talk buttons.
The buttons run across the bottom of th…
Now that I'm back from my trip, I'll start working up the next post about how the buttons work. In the meantime, here's the link to download the package if you want to try it. It is definitely not done yet, and it may break unexpectedly. I renamed …Guess I'll have to save those credits towards multi-class then.I would very much like a Distortion Field artifact to return my ability to become invisible, for RP purposes, as it has been a big part of Poet's character development. I'd be fine with it being limited in some way. Such as 60 seconds …For those that lament the loss of the Nexus map in caches, here's a tab that will capture the map. CONFIG MAPSHOW ON for maximum utility. For as long as this is enabled, you won't see the map in the main window. I did not fancy it up, or put in an o…
