Yes! Please! I would like to be extremely hefty, but the current setup of the mechanics makes it seem not worth the trouble. Right now my build is GauntI've been fighting with Vianou and Mairon, but I don't log things...

I'm guessing the introduction of refineries and autofactories to faction stations will soon tie into the station mission system, which may count as a "reward".Yes, you need to study them (or something) using the proper modding skill (HELP ARMORMODDING or HELP WEAPONMODDING).We were in the middle of a Lord Commander shuffle...Almost all of these things have been player-driven, and we just ask the storytellers if they could add a little spzazz.Ideally, that's how it would work. Refiners would bring in resources, manufacturers would regularly churn out stuff like rglass, and disheets, and UMMs, and such, and some of them would be readily purchased to fulfill station mission needs.
It's like fireworks! You can harvest clouds at full speed, I think, it might just be a little messy because of turn rates. The problem, in my opinion, isn't the demand: we have plenty of demand, from NPC orders, to station missions, and finally to player orders on the market.

I used Song's farm maybe twiceAll my resources came from wild sources (usually that gap between Izaren/Zinari/Atheni, Atheni itself, or …
I find the objections here disingenuous, especially since CA has also started up their own farm.

That's why it's undesirable: at best, it barely manages to be a bandaid. But it's what we have right now, so we must work with and hope for better (actual) fixes in the near future. One of the best parts so far is @Flipilaria slowly realizing that the Song government is Lawful Evil.in In Strength and Unity! Vandium is naturally rare; it's one of the main reasons why I (and others) started incubating vandium (and titanium) asteroids. Then, it's just more efficient to incubate all kinds of asteroids.
Scatterhome still has a level 5 cosmpiercer…With that said, I support upping raw numbers. Or just anything that values the time that players invest into the system. Simply cutting out gas farms and asteroid incubation will just bring us back to the days of 0 supply. We've run the numbers in Song, and the convenience of having a gas farm far outweighs the drawback.

That, and asteroid incubation.

It's a recipe for burnout.(Quote) I'm actually of the opposite opinion. Player demand should be the driving force behind the economy, so NPC demand like planet orders and station missions should be subpar than producing and selling supplies on the open market.
I want to get an idea of how the game determines how much gas or asteroids to spawn. I hope it's based on how much a resource has been scooped/tethered/refined, because a static value essentially puts a hard limit on how many spacers the game can su…@Kitrana You can JOIN MARKET (it's a clan for Market stuff). Each step in the production process is an added cost.
