Re: Crafting and Trade
The 50 designs and inability to better manage what I keep craftable on hand vs upload/download for temporary use greatly diminishes what kinds of things I'm willing to use my limited space for. I would love to do special awards, limited edition runs, fun thematic things for RP, let alone all of the multiple pieces that go into my own and others' outfits for character design. It would be helpful if we had a better idea on how the system is imagined to work so we can adapt to it, since it is so different from other IRE.

Re: Crafting and Trade
Wait - wait, what?
50 is still too low. Why in the world would this be limited? This is a pretty significant investment. You don't cap anything else that people choose to do in the game?
This is a pretty gross cash grab, imo.
One completed custom outfit is at a minimum of 3 pieces and can easily go up to 10. So you are saying I have to either only do generic designs and stop doing custom orders or..what...forget stuff I spent 5k to design in the first place?
Just do like you do in Imperian and put a timer on the designs with a Mark upkeep and an artifact to lock down some designs as perm.

Re: Crafting and Trade
Apparently we are limited in only being able to have 10 designs. The syntax to expand our databanks is not working.
Could this please be lifted or fixed, @Tecton? Crafters are coming into a position where we cannot complete commissions.
Idea: Making designs Public releases them from your 10 design limit, encouraging more people to share their surplus.
Question: Does downloading and crafting a public design still show the original designer when probed? Example: Designed by BigOleDoorknob and fabricated by Regrette?

Re: Crafting and Trade
10c per additional design slot is really insulting, when we do not have a way to manage our active design inventory beyond things downloaded from the public market. There is absolutely no reason to make a design public. 125 marks per download (with infinite uses) and the risk that you'll get undersold on your own product, + it staying locked in your own databank so it doesn't free up space, is not an appealing system. What it does is mean any design over 50 is 10cr+5k marks+fabrication. That is not sustainable.

Re: Letting newly arrived players know about roleplaying...nicely.
You may have been able to tell because you know how people have been acting in Scatterhome but it sure as hell comes across as toxic to someone who doesn't know. Just because you thought it would be funny, doesn't justify talking to a newbie like that. This sort of garbage pushes new players away. There's a good way to handle it that doesn't include "joking".Zack said:I think I know who you are -- many of us were encouraging you to not commit suicide over this, and I could tell that everyone involved (at least on FT) was only joking about you being insane (even Solus), though it doesn't seem to have come across well as a joke; I saw no outright hostility myself. If someone was harassing you in a TELL over it, that's another matter for an ISSUE on the player or players in question. It's a shame that you had a bad experience because of that and hopefully you'll have a better one this next time
EDIT TO ADD: Just want to mention, I'm not pointing fingers at you specifically.

That sucks. People harassing newbies over that is toxic behavior that needs to stop now.

Re: Letting newly arrived players know about roleplaying...nicely.
It most definitely could have been handled in a better way. The only positive I've gotten out of this is that I'm spending more time reading all the HELP files than asking in NEWBIE or any other channel that I don;t know anything about. As I said, no newcomer should ever feel gunshy about asking a question

Re: What do we want? Letters/Datashards. When do we want them? As soon as possible, please.
I noticed we seemed to have gotten bumped off the recents. Tragedy! Let me fix that by adding another super neat (in my opinion!) idea for the free-form writing thing.
Customisable Domains!
Dynasty e-mail domains. So, if the email option is implemented e-mails would display sort of like an IRL email when you review them and it would be cool if you could set your domain using the CUSTOMIZE command tree.
Example: CUSTOMIZE DOMAIN CELESTINE, CUSTOMIZE DOMAIN OMNI (omni being like a gmail equivalent - something everyone can use even if they don't have access to a faction or dynasty domain)
But dynasty's could unlock their own domain at certain amount of members. Overall, the emails would be something like this:

Re: Lawless Status, good or bad?
Possibly even dueling for money, or a queue system where you can just queue up and as you fight more it ranks you and attempts to put you against similar skilled opponents. And ofc the ability to spectate duels.
