Re: An update on bashing?
<x> game is harder so you shouldn't complain, is just about one of the most pointless opinions to voice.
"DotA is harder than League so you should be able to climb easily in League if you're high in DotA." - No.
"CS:GO is harder than Overwatch so you shouldn't have any issues in Overwatch if you're high in CS." - Nope.
"FF14 has more punishing mechanics than WoW so if you raid savage you should do Mythic easily." - No sir.
As a counterpoint, though. You're still wrong. Imperian has literally zero penalty for dying, except losing 60 seconds of your time. Achaea you lose about the same experience comparatively, except there's no actual gold cost unless you were holding a lot when you died (your fault). Saying Starmourn has the 'easiest' and 'least harsh penalties' is objectively wrong. Not that I have an issue either way, but when you say stupid shit like this, it needs to be corrected.

Re: Good Vibrations!
I know this has been voiced many times, but I want to say it again - thank you @Tecton and team. You've been on the ball about almost every issue the players have had, and have been extremely vigilant in watching for issues here in the forums, in game through ISSUE and BUG, and even (bless your heart) in the Discord, while still allowing for proper discussion as long as it was there to be had. You're all doing an amazing job and it shows.

Re: An update on bashing?
Dunno what y'all are on about, I found Starmourn to be BY FAR the easiest IRE game for PvE, with least harsh penalties for dying and that's with the debt mechanic in place. So what if I die? Farm some level appropriate mobs for 15 minutes, I have that money back and some more. XP loss is meaningless too.
I hate the word bashing by the way, always did. It's PvE - the only things I'm bashing are opinions I disagree with.

Re: Stuck in the intro?
More feedback:
There was this newbie who had his ship completely destroyed because he must've incorrectly done the insurance purchasing the first time he blew up.
Could ships have maybe 5 free/automatic insurances? Similar to how sub-10 people get unlimited free clones.

Re: The Ideas Thread
Can last name / dynasty name not be shown in everything? It was quickly fixed to not show on QWHO, can we have that fix applied to other things?
Yaran Ironbound drives his wrist-mounted blade deep into the body of a pack of small sharp-toothed reptiles.
A pack of small sharp-toothed reptiles has been slain by Yaran Ironbound.

Example.
Pretty please?

Agreed. It doesn't really make sense that you should be able to counteract something so easily that takes skill to learn how to do in the first place.Shrik said:Hire a Scoundrel to do it for you! Don't neuter subterfuge before it's even begun, please.

Re: A New Vote Thread
I just IDEAd getting a vote reminder like other IRE games have because I am 100% more likely to vote if it doesn't rely on my memory every day.

Re: A New Vote Thread
A reminder in game like they have set up in Lusternia would help with this maybe?

Please Fix Modding
With the adjustment in costs of design submissions, it seems modding is still a Herculean battle almost to the point of oblivion where nobody will create mods ... just better to use what you manage to get.
Please fix modding by fixing drop rates and requirements to master designs. As it stands you need ~20 components of the same type to even create a design. I’m guessing you will need parts ongoing to continue modding which makes it prohibitively expensive to actually make it worthwhile.
POTENTIAL FIXES
- increase mod drop rates: this is an easy fix though the problem is that there will be an over abundance of mods very soon. So it defeats the purpose of having playermade mods
- introduce a skill within modding (Scavenge) which allows a skilled modder to get increased drop rates for mods. this allows them to scavenge parts and create a business.
- reduce the requirements to learn/ master mods
- there should be more proprietary parts per weapon mod drop considering current drop rates.

Re: Upcoming PVP changes
I already seen people within the same faction resort to killing others because they thought the other person was 'rude' or some other silly so called RP reason. In one case they were even harassed after by the person's friends just because they could, and you can pretty much guess what would have happen if the person stood up to that additional harassment.
Therefore I have my doubts it is a good idea to add incentives for people to come up with 'rp' reasons to kill someone. I have no problems with PvP, even open world pvp but the current game doesn't allow it to be fair or fun pvp. There are no places where you are safe from higher level players and their friends that you have absolutely no chance against.
If you want good RP reasons with some pk incentives, then you also need to have some good consequences when someone kills anyone out side a consented PK event. Something like a person becoming a criminal with alerts for two weeks (login time) with additional bounty incentives for them to hunted down with no consequences to those hunting them. If the reason is indefensible that criminal flag would stay around a lot longer.
That's when you'll begin seeing people PKing others with good RP reasons. Until then all this will mean is trolls coming up with more silly reasons to kill other players especially during beta when the game is beginning to attract people to start playing and learning the mechanics.
