Re: Lets talk about Nanoseers abilities. Nanoseer General
For slow mobs, you can get more benefit from a Suffocate opening. It is possible get 2-3 ticks of Suffocate which benefit from Frenzy and Pointzero then finish with usual combinations. That helped me quite much at Scrapston and Goribar Farm areas, since it is populated by slow mobs. Plus since Suffocate is a channeling attack that means at your last tick (2nd, 3rd and rarely 4th) you have balance so you can immediately start attacking which means your initial investment to start Suffocate is not wasted totally.
Perhaps Nanoseer PvE might not be the most straightforward or efficient, but so far it has been quite fun at my own end.

I mean, for now, that is the bashing map but it sounds like they will expand our options and balance them more as time goes on. I look forward to having to learn how to deal with different PvE threats with different affs and such. Eventually, that seems like the goal.

Re: Scatterhome Administrators
Given our state of affairs, we'll be the least populated in a few months time. No barbarian hordes to fear.

Space QoL
A short list of things I wish for regarding space:
1. Creation of an INCURSION NEAREST command to show you which incursion is closest to you.
2. Removal of the maxspeed part of ship thrust. Just make everything based off thrust.
3. If you try to fire a weapon and it's not active, just have the weapon activate automatically. Space combat is EXTREMELY hectic as it is.
4. Add the ability to thrust backwards at a slow speed. Yeah yeah REVERSETHRUST exists, but that can be easily fixed by having REVERSETHRUST instantly halt forward momentum then send you back, where as regular reverse works with the same inertia as all movement.

Re: Certain Attacks
I disagree @ekary .
I think "RNG instakill" is a bad mechanic for something as commonplace as bashing. I just don't find that kind of situation fun at all to play against. I attack, see the windup, and know I'm just dead because of bad luck and no amount of skill at the game can save me. I don't think that makes for very good gameplay, and my solution would just be to never fight against those mobs. I am guessing (though I might be wrong) that's not what the developers intended.
Setting up a trigger to respond to a specific action is kind of what this type of game is based on anyway.

Cuisine — No beverages?
Hi!
From the get-go I knew I wanted to take Cuisine as a tradeskill, which I inferred from this blog-post was to include both food and drink.
From asking around however, it seems this is not the case? And there are only food recipes available, no drinks?
I’d like to know definitively before I make the choice whether this is A ) Correct and B ) Intended.
If it’s intended, I would ask @Tecton, @Aurelius & team to reconsider, and not introduce beverages as a separate skillset, but rather to include them in the same one. My reasoning for this is as follows:

If it’s intended, I would ask @Tecton, @Aurelius & team to reconsider, and not introduce beverages as a separate skillset, but rather to include them in the same one. My reasoning for this is as follows:
- A chef should have the skills, ingredients and knowledge required to make both food and drink; these are not separate crafts any more than the ability to make shoes is separate from the ability to make dresses.
- Cuisine is already by far the most useless tradeskill, in that its function is purely RP. Eating isn’t a requirement in Starmourn and isn’t even as visible as letting players customise themselves with clothing and jewellery. So letting people who choose the ability to make cakes also have the ability to make juice isn’t excessive or imbalancing.
- You can only pick one tradeskill, and in the future maybe two. So if beverages were released as a separate tradeskill, forcing us to choose one of the two — or both in order to distinguish ourselves as caterers — would be pretty prohibitive.

Re: Scatterhome Administrators
Played a LONG time ago. During that time I would play for like 9 hours straight and not see a single person around.Arsentar said:Lol. If you think Mhaldor is a negative comparison then I don't know what the fuck you are on. If Scatterhome ends up as Mhaldor (One of the Faction in Achaea that routinely performs the best) it would be a fucking good thing.
Being populous ~= being worth shit.
